HookVault | BBW Publishing ("HookVault", "we", "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.
2. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
Account Information: Name, email address, and password when you create an account.
Artist Profile Information: Artist name, bio, social media links, PRO affiliation, IPI numbers, and profile images that you voluntarily provide.
Payment Information: Billing details processed securely through Stripe. We do not store full card numbers.
Usage Data: Pages visited, features used, and general platform activity to improve the service.
Submission Data: Information submitted through our Open Submissions form including music samples, bios, and contact details.
Communications: Emails and messages you send us.
3. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION
We use your information to: operate and improve the platform; process license purchases and artist payouts; communicate with you about your account; review artist submissions; send platform updates and announcements (you may opt out); and comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
4. INFORMATION SHARING
We share information only with: service providers necessary to operate the platform (Supabase for database/storage, Stripe for payments, Resend for email, Vercel for hosting); legal authorities when required by law; and business successors in the event of a merger or acquisition.
Artist profile information you choose to make public (name, bio, music) is visible to all platform visitors.
5. DATA STORAGE & SECURITY
Your data is stored securely using Supabase, hosted on AWS infrastructure. We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption at rest and in transit. No method of transmission is 100% secure — we cannot guarantee absolute security but take all reasonable precautions.
6. COOKIES
We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use tracking cookies for advertising purposes. You may disable cookies in your browser, though this may affect platform functionality.
7. YOUR RIGHTS
You have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you; correct inaccurate information; request deletion of your account and associated data; opt out of marketing communications; and export your data.

8. DATA RETENTION
We retain account data for as long as your account is active. Upon account deletion, personal data is removed within 30 days, except where retention is required for legal or financial compliance (e.g., transaction records).
9. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
HookVault is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If we become aware of such collection, we will delete the information promptly.
10. THIRD-PARTY LINKS
Our platform may contain links to third-party sites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites and encourage you to review their policies.
11. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this policy periodically. We will notify active subscribers of material changes via email. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance.
