Silas Drumm chased rhythm into the mouth of something ancient and came back transformed — a man whose skeleton now hums with tension rods and whose pulse drives pistons fused to flesh. They found him in a burned chapel outside Baton Rouge, half-dead and half-reborn, drum shells grafted to ribcage like armor, cymbal bronze threading through collarbone and vertebrae like sacred metal grown from marrow. When he plays, the air itself splits open, and those who listen swear they can hear the moment he made his bargain in the cracks between the beats.
